New Logistics Centre for LLOYD Shoes

20.12.2011

For more than 120 years, LLOYD has been perfecting the production of special and precious shoes in quality, fit and design.

Now, the company with a long-standing tradition invests in the quality of its logistics – with a new logistics centre in Sulingen, Germany, of which the complete conveyor and storage technology will be realised by TGW as general contractor.

The centrepiece of the new LLOYD logistics centre will be a 15 meter high automated mini-load warehouse with five aisles and a storage capacity of 50,000 cartons. “TGW’s triple-deep carton storage concept for LLOYD’s carton sizes ranging from 40mm to 70mm optimises the storage conditions in each aisle and leads to highest throughput rates”, explains Manfred Buschmeier, Head of Logistics at LLOYD.

With this new logistics centre, LLOYD contributes to the company’s continuous upward movement and is looking forward to the future at their established central site in Sulingen near Bremen, Germany.
