Benvenuti nel mondo di warehouse logistics

23.01.2012

Team warehouse logistics greeted their new official cooperation partner with a warm “welcome”: the Dortmund-based Induvation GmbH will start providing support for customers from Italian-speaking regions right away.

The world’s largest database for Warehouse Management Systems has been available in the Italian language since September 2011. Induvation GmbH specializes in the strategic planning and implementation of logistics systems. As a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics, Induvation GmbH will answer all of your questions concerning your in-house and inter-company logistics.

By serving as a marketing platform for WMS vendors and an information platform for WMS users, the WMS Database provides customers and other interested parties with all of the important information that they need for the short-term and long-term planning of their warehouse. The WMS Online Selection tool makes it easy for users to select a suitable WMS for their company using over 3000 different search criteria.

The Italian language version of the portal was presented to the Italian market during the Logistics Day event “Plan Your Logistics” (“Progetta la tua logistica”) held by our partner Trevi S.p.A. in Treviso. This signified the entering of a new dimension for the internationalization of the database: one beyond the English, German, and Dutch language versions and a platform specially developed for the French market.

Tim Geißen, the Team warehouse logistics’ project manager for internationalization, was more than satisfied: “Our cooperation with Induvation GmbH has helped Warehouse Logistics take a big step in the direction of internationalization. We are very happy!“

The managing director of Induvation GmbH, Christian Mazzocco, stressed the benefits of the cooperation: “We are confident that by operating this platform we are able to provide added value to both the vendors and the users in Italy. The fact that Italian companies have already decided to become participants in the WMS Database in such a short period of time means that the Italian market acknowledges this.” Both the Incas Group – one of the leading Italian companies in automated systems for supply chains – and the Italian Beta 80 Group – an important player in the field of information and communication technology – are both participants in the WMS database as of now.
