PSI Receives Order from Volkswagen do Brasil

14.02.2012

Integrated corporate planning and control of the tool-making for main plant in Sao Bernardo do Campo

PSI subsidiary PSIPENTA Software Systems GmbH has been contracted by Volkswagen do Brasil with the implementation of an integrated corporate planning and control of the tool-making for the main plant in Sao Bernardo do Campo.
In search for an integrated planning and control software Volkswagen do Brasil, a Brazilian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, decided for the comprehensive PSI solution. Along with the ERP suite PSIpenta and a project management for the rough and medium planning, an integrated control room, an operational data collection and a mobile solution for the detailed planning at the workshop level will be implemented. The integrated software landscape with a Portuguese interface will replace a multitude of island solutions in various departments of the toolmaker and assure a high level of efficiency and transparency over all the processes. One unique feature is the daily, automated compression algorithms in the rough planning which guarantee a maximum of timeliness and allow an active change management.
The implementation is planned in two phases. The first start of operations is planned for the end of 2012, the conclusion of the project for the third quarter of 2013. The implementation project will be supported by an on-site team which is able to apply the experiences with the PSI software already in use in the Volkswagen Group.
Volkswagen do Brasil was founded in Brazil in 1953. The company manufactures its own models and variations in the automobile and commercial vehicle segment for the South American and African markets. With four production sites and more than 30,000 employees Volkswagen do Brasil acts as an extended workbench for the Volkswagen Group.
