Vanderlande announces Release 6 of VISION - The Logistics Software Suite.

Vanderlande, a leading supplier of warehouse automation solutions, announces the availability of VISION 6. VISION is an integrated software suite for warehouse management and control systems for distribution centres and flow control systems for parcel & postal. The application offers functions and concepts to optimise their logistics processes.

VISION 6 is designed with the customer experience in mind. The totally renewed and intuitive user interface for control room applications, increases the efficiency of the users in several ways. Users do have faster and easier access to the information they need. The number of mouse-click, keystrokes and mouse-movements while navigating through the systems information are considerably reduced.

The HTML5-based user interface makes the application compliant with the most common used browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE). Therefore users do not need to install plugins before use.

With VISION 6 user now also have the possibility to create customised views and filters. For instance a supervisor of the warehouse receiving process can define data columns, filters and sort criteria in such a way, that he immediately has his preferred and real time overview of relevant data only. These settings can be saved as a favourite page and can be recalled later with a single mouse-click. In this way the user can improve his productivity greatly without the need for additional software modifications.

VISIONs modular approach allows distribution centres to choose from a set of pre-defined integration scenarios that fits best into their intended IT landscape. By bringing in the long-lasting experience in optimising automated handling systems, this approach guarantees the best performance of the total solution. In combination with the recent developments in the current release, VISION endorses Vanderlande mission to optimise its customers' business processes and competitive position.
