The Results of the current validation round are online

02.08.2017

After the extensive revision of this year's questionnaire, which is used to validate the listed systems on warehouse-logistics.com, the results from the current validation round are now available online for viewing by WMS users.

Since 1st August 2017 the updated and supplemented aspects are integrated into the search function of the WMS Online Selection. Through the selection process of the WMS Online Selection, WMS users are given the opportunity in their search of a suitable Warehouse Management System to make a targeted selection on the basis of the latest findings and in consideration of their individual profile of requirements. This year's innovation in the selection is the adjustment of the K.O.-criteria and their response from the »and«- to the »or«-relation. In order to illustrate this in a concrete example:

K.O.-question: What databases have to be connected in projects and have to be continuously supported at this system?

Sample answer: »MySQL«; »Microsoft SQL Server«

As of now, the selected answers are linked with »or«. In the event that the user selects more than one response, the system have to fulfill ultimately only one of these properties in order to be furthermore listed as potentially suitable WMS.

The annual validation of the systems is based on the response to a questionnaire comprising around 3.700 criteria, of which about 15% of the data were updated at the beginning of the year. The main focus was on the rubrics »Hazardous Substances« and »Customs«. The list of questions in the area of (agile) project management as well as in the subject area of the route trains of production supply and disposal were also supplemented.
