Efficient Slot Management: inconsoDSM from the Cloud

26.09.2018

New Release of inconsoDSM features functional improvements and optional availability as SaaS

The slot management system inconsoDSM (Dock & Slot Management), developed by inconso, provides optimized loading processes and shorter waits. The solution has been available in the new release since mid-2018 with expanded functionalities and a reworked graphical dashboard. In addition, ramp operators, carriers and forwarders can now also use the web-based solution from the private cloud.

inconsoDSM combines the advantages of a planning and management system in one application: Inbound and outbound transports are noted and automatically scheduled and all transport movements are centrally monitored. In concrete terms, inconsoDSM improves coordinated and efficient loading and unloading processes in yards by differentiating ramp function areas and properties, including shifts and plant calendars and enabling the allocation of loading and unloading time slots adapted to capacities and resources.

The logistics software specialist inconso also provides improved graphical dashboard functions in the new release in order to consistently monitor transports, time slots and statuses. Databases that are available for reporting and deviation analyses (target/actual comparisons), which are available via an integrated statistics dashboard, are also taken into account. Transport service providers and suppliers can access the inconsoDSM booking portal for booking and managing time slots and informing drivers, e.g. by e-mail or text message, about changes made to the time slots by the shipper.

In addition to the integrated operation of the add-on with inconsoWMS or inconsoYMS, the new release of inconsoDSM can now be easily embedded in existing system landscapes. The SaaS solution makes inconso available in a private cloud via a certified German data center, thus eliminating the need for the operator to provide their own infrastructure.
