History

The story behind the success of CIM GmbH and PROLAG®World began in 1985 in Fürstenfeldbruck near Munich. This was the year when engineer and company founder, Fritz Mayr, wrote the first PROLAG® solution for warehouse management and control in the C programming language.

In 1999, the software engineers at CIM made a major breakthrough: the PROLAG® warehouse management software was redesigned and implemented in the object-oriented programming language JAVA. This brought hardware independence, internet capability as well as simpler upgrade options. A new warehouse management solution was born – PROLAG®World.

Even back then, the system was fully browser-based and web-based, and designed for database and platform independence. CIM was a pioneer in this area, a role the company has retained to this day. Since the earliest versions of PROLAG®World, the product portfolio has been expanded to offer several tailored industry solutions, over 150 extension modules, a shipping system and a forklift routing system. The opening of further subsidiaries has helped develop regional markets as well as improve services for existing customers.

Product roadmap

Pricing

Every warehouse is different depending on the size and type of business and the company philosophy. Likewise, the demands made on warehouse management systems also vary meaning that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution. We offer you a Warehouse Management System which is specially tailored to your individual needs. The benefit: you only pay for the functions you really need.
