The right solution for each warehouse

SAP provides diverse industry-independent logistics solutions for covering warehouse logistics processes.

FIS supports you in the implementation of SAP Warehouse solutions. More than 25 years of experience in warehouse logistics and outstanding expertise in the SAP ERP area enable an optimal supply chain integration into your corporate upstream and downstream process steps.

While the SAP Warehouse Management solution is fully integrated in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA, the SAP Extended Warehouse Management is usually connected to the existing retailing system (ERP).

Within the scope of an individual analysis (fit-gap analysis) of your processes, our experts will identify together with you the right system with the appropriate version for your requirements. For finding the right solution, it is decisive which degree of coverage of your processes can be achieved with each of the two solutions. Here, a distinction is made between two basic systems:

SAP EWM– Extended Warehouse Management

SAP EWM is a highly flexible warehouse management system for a continuous design of warehouse processes. Due to this flexibility, the mapping of very easy up to highly complex processes is enabled in the standard version. Common selection criteria are, in particular, the reduction of interfaces by directly connecting warehouse automation technology and the option of graphically displaying the warehouse structure and reports. Specifically retail companies, production companies, logistics service providers as well as spares logistics and ambitious distribution warehouses benefit from this standardized diversity of functions.

FIS has a high level of expertise in this area and, if required, enables a particularly easy methodology when it comes to implementing SAP EWM by means of an individual template solution.

Your benefits of an FIS implementation:

  • Seamless connection to the existing retailing system (SAP ERP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA) by FIS
  • FIS/ewm+ template solution as implementation turbo with simplified project methodology
  • Preconfigured and documented processes
  • Individual developments for your warehouse and specific mapping of processes
  • Integration scenarios along the entire supply chain
  • Optimized and ergonomic dialogs for better usability
  • Advanced and mobile dialogs
  • High functional degree of coverage
    • from the entry of arriving trucks (Yard Management)
    • via opportunistic cross-docking and
    • distribution of warehouse tasks to the "right" resources
    • up to diverse functions for mapping goods issue processes (e.g. wave management, pick, pack & pass)

SAP LES– Logistics Execution System

including SAP Warehouse Management (WM), Task and Resource Management (TRM) and SAP Transport (LE-TRA)

FIS provides field-tested warehouse logistics enhancements enabling an even more convenient, practice-oriented and efficient use of the respective system. TheFIS/smw solution provides numerous enhancements specifically for your warehouse logistics at an attractive value for money and ready for immediate use. With the function enhancements - the Rapid Deployment Functions - FIS offers you ready-to-use enhancements outside the actual warehouse logistics solution for your warehouse. These functions help you to quickly reduce costs and to optimize processes in the operational area.

Your benefits of an FIS implementation:

  • Fully integrated in SAP ERP and therefore continuous document flows
  • Sustainability through integration scenarios when switching to SAP S/4HANA or SAP Extended Warehouse Management
  • Individual developments for your warehouse and specific mapping of processes
  • Numerous field-tested add-ons ready for immediate use enhancing the standard version (mapping of mobile business processes for instance)
  • Process consulting and integration scenarios along the entire supply chain
