Company description

viastore SOFTWARE GmbH is a leading international provider of software for warehouse management as well as integrated automated material flows in logistics and industrial production. The portfolio of the Industry 4.0 specialist includes the standard software product viadat, which can manage and control small warehouses with low turnover rates just as reliably as distribution centers and high-performance logistics systems with several hundred thousand order lines a day. viadat is intuitive to use, ergonomic, and has multi-warehouse capability. The software package can be implemented very quickly due to pre-configuration, is fully scalable in function and performance and highly effectual with over 2,500 standard logistics functions – which viastore extends and adjusts according to customer needs. The WMS therefore offers an integrated solution for networked material flows along the value chain: from the connection to ERP systems from various manufacturers via standardized interfaces, to the control of automated equipment such as conveyor systems, automated storage/retrieval systems, robots or packaging machines. It enables users – currently about 16,000 from 800 installations in 30 different countries – to achieve lead time reductions, higher efficiency and process security as well as reduced inventories and the highest level of order picking quality. In addition to technology-neutral software and process consulting as well as project control and implementation – also of hardware such as picking systems and IT system landscapes – viastore SOFTWARE offers an international 24/7 helpdesk in six languages and a broad training program.

As a software house, viastore SOFTWARE GmbH is part of the international logistics system provider viastore GROUP headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. The viastore GROUP employs more than 600 people worldwide and generates revenues of over 145 million euros.

History

2015

viastore founds an independent international software company in Germany. In this context, the company adopts a new strategic concept with viastore being the umbrella brand and the two companies viastore SYSTEMS and viastore SOFTWARE positioned to provide even more intensive customer support.

2013

Managing Partner Christoph Hahn-Woernle retires after more than 40 years in the intralogistics business.

2012

Foundation of subsidiaries in Brazil and China.

2011

Philipp Hahn-Woernle, son of Christoph Hahn-Woernle, is appointed a member of the Management Board.

2008

viastore acquires conveyor systems specialist Blesco, headquartered in Grand Rapids/Michigan, thus further expanding its position in the U.S. market.

2007

Foundation of subsidiary in Russia

2006

Sale of the American standard WMS provider Provia Software.

2004

Foundation of subsidiary in the Czech Republic.

1999

100% takeover of Haushahn Automationssysteme GmbH & Co. KG by managing director Christoph Hahn-Woernle. The company name is changed to viastore systems.

Foundation of subsidiary in France.

Foundation of U.S. subsidiary.

Formation of Haushahn Automationssysteme as an independent systems company specializing in intralogistics.

By acquiring Weissert & Hieber, the company makes its entry into the field of warehouse technology.
